How we got started…

Once, not so long ago there was a young woman visionary who had big dreams that seemed, well . . . unreachable. She worked with women of all walks of life, sharing with them the work of transformation, possibility and hope.

After quite a few years, the women kept coming for gatherings and circles and workshops and kept sharing that they wanted something more integrated, a community. But there were so many students, so many ages, from so many walks of life and in so many different states.

So the courageous woman prayed and the answer came: COSMIC COWGIRLS, where the work would be to gather the women and transform lives into legends! She founded Cosmic Cowgirls on January 23, 2006 with a handful of twenty five Founding Mamas and began to invite others to join them on their adventures.

So the women of Cosmic Cowgirls, who are as wild and as mild as they came, from 8 years old to 80 years old, began to bring transformation to the world. In the second year of Cosmic Cowgirls, the studio and campus was opened up to the membership and the community. They planned events, had conferences, published books and traveled the world offering creativity as a path of healing. Thousands of women participated in their programs, and lives began to be fuller, and more connected. Women reported not feeling worthless or invisible anymore.

To date, there are 200 Cosmic Cowgirl Owners & Members and going strong! Still, the women wanted more…so the visionary woman and her tribe of cosmic sisters, set her heart to praying again. What is the answer? She wanted to know how to end isolation among women, how to offer art, education, community, lasting relationship, and above all, a sense of purpose for women’s lives.

The next evolution is Cosmic Cowgirls University, a school dedicated to art and education with an emphasis on the importance of self expression. Cosmic Cowgirls University was launched two years after the company was founded and offers courses designed to inspire women, both online and in person at the Cosmic Cowgirls Campus. Cosmic Cowgirls has the vision of granting Creative Art Degrees and together, creating a new future.
